Lagos State Public Works Corporation (LSPWC) has flagged off what it tags “Operation fix all potholes”.This exercise is aimed at ridding Lagos roads of pot holes in order to enhance the free flow of vehicular movement.
Speaking at the flag-off ceremony held at the premises of the Corporation at Ogunnusi Road in Ojodu-Berger, the General Manager, Engr. Ayotunde Sodeinde, disclosed that the exercise is in line with Governor Ambode’s commitment to address deplorable condition of roads.
Sodeinde described the bad shape of some roads in the metropolis as regrettable, adding that the present administration is determined to tackle the issue headlong as the exercise is a continuous one which will cover all roads irrespective of its status as a State or Federal road.
He said the Corporation has been maintaining Federal Roads in the past and we will continue to do so. The main objective is to make the roads in the state pothole free, so as to ease vehicular movement and reduce the stress frequently experienced by motorists on the roads as a result of heavy traffic situation caused by pot holes.
